Apple Crisp

We sure do love our Friday night date nights, especially when two becomes four. It was girls pick this week so instead of fishing what did we do….went to the apple orchard! Don't be too impressed we compromised and while we made apple crisp they got to pick the movie.
The common apple retrieving method was shaking the tree violently until gravity took it's course and the apples fell. That then turned into flying apples and target practice, so we resorted to the normal way of getting apples off a tree.
They even had really fancy oversized fanny packs that Andrew and Amanda modeled for us.
Success would be an understatement. I think we will add this one to our list of regular activities here in Rexburg. Just a tip in case you go, don't eat and pick…it's rather distracting.

An ocean view

Best choice we made besides getting married was taking bridals on the beach. I hate getting pictures taken, but this picture taking experience changed my mind forever. We are so thankful for parents best friends who have been given amazing talents, and these pictures we get to cherish forever.

Showered with Love

I have been so neglectful in the Thank you department after the wedding. But I couldn't forget these sweet women who helped raise me to be the person I am today. The bridal shower before the wedding was absolutely perfect. I don't think I could ever thank these women enough.
It was truly a night to remember....especially without a voice.

Idahome

There is nothing better then a weekend camping, especially after a very long first week of school.
I think we have found our new favorite hobby. There are a few reasons I love camping but here are some of my favorite.
1. Being disconnected from technology
2.  Spending quality time with friends
 3. Watching our husbands fish...mostly their faces as they caught them
4. Roasting hotdogs over the fire pit with sticks
5. Eating as many peanut butter M&M's and Reeses as I want and not feeling one ounce of guilt

It feels so good to be back in the small town of Rexburg. One weekend down, many more to go, with lots of days in between.

Crusin' through marriage

Well we did it, we're officially married and to celebrate we lived on a boat for a week! We had an absolute blast traveling, eating, going on adventures, and just being together. We had always wanted to go on vacations together long before we even started dating, and I think we took advantage of it finally happening. Luckily this smart husband of mine was able to talk to some locals and we got our way around the boat excursions, saved some cash, and explored Belize, Honduras, and Mexico…
 Hilburn style.
Thanks Royal Caribbean for the great time.
It was the best way to start out our life long adventure together. I am so thrilled to finally be a wife, and have this handsome man as my husband!
